Phillies 5 – Braves 0

It was a good night for the Phillies much maligned bullpen. After Jake Arrieta (6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, W 1-1) kept the Braves off the scoreboard for the first six innings, the combination of Jose Alvarez, Tommy Hunter, and Deolis Guerra kept them off the board for the final three innings to complete the Phillies 5-0 shutout of the Braves on Saturday night. The Phillies scored four of their runs in the fourth inning on a solo homer by J.T. Realmuto (4), and a three run homer by Jay Bruce (2). The final run came on a Didi Gregorius RBI single in the eighth. The Phillies improve to 4-4, and the Braves drop to 9-6. The series will conclude on Sunday with a seven inning doubleheader.
