The Eagles season came to an end with a 26-24 loss to the New Orleans Saints in their NFC Wild Card playoff game. It was a low scoring first half with the Eagles holding a 7-6 lead heading into the locker room at halftime. The Saints took a 20-7 lead in the third quarter, and the Eagles fought back to take a 24-23 late in the fourth quarter, but bad coverage and a penalty on the kickoff set the Saints at mid field. The Saints would run the clock down and kick the winning field goal that gave them, their first road playoff win in team history, and handed the Eagles their fourth straight playoff loss. It was a good run, just didn’t end the way eagles fans were hoping it would.
